History

History is an important discipline of Humanities, and was introduced as an optional subject from the very first year of establishment of the college in 1969. Students of the Arts faculty choose history as an optional subject with enthusiasm. It continues to be a very popular subject. This fact has been testified by the excellent performance to the students in the examinations conducted by the University of Mysore. A good number of student pursued higher studies at the post graduate level and come out with flying color in MA and B.Ed courses.
